Trueform Concrete has found the middle ground between beauty
and practicality. Everywhere our product is placed is a different
environment with different requirements and therefore each and
every piece is customized for the end user. Our objective is to
create concrete products that have a natural look, require little
to no maintenance, and are tough enough for everyday use. Each
concrete piece is not only practical; it is a beautiful, one of
a kind work of art - a look that you will not find anywhere else!
One of the main advantages to using concrete is its customizability.
When you choose concrete, you are designing your piece from start
to finish. Every aspect of the product can be tailored to fit
your lifestyle. The things that are really important to you can
be addressed on an individual basis. For example, if cutting on
your countertop is something that you really want to do, ask us
about integral cutting boards. If you want a conference room table
with your company logo incorporated into it or you want to display
your grandfather's coin collection in your table top, ask us about
decorative inlays. Anything
is possible - all you need to do is ask! So let us know what is
important to you and Trueform Concrete will create a custom piece
that will meet all of your needs.
Trueform Concrete's proprietary mix design and curing process
allows us to label our concrete as high strength concrete, with
a compressive strength of over 6,000 psi. Our countertops
are typically a 1 ½” thick, but we can create any
size thickness, even apron drops to create the illusion of an
extremely thick piece. A standard 1 ½” counter top
weighs approximately 18 lbs per square foot. There is no minimum
or maximum length or size for our concrete countertops and other
concrete products. It all depends on the size, shape, and weight
of your piece, the amount of support in the cabinets or base,
and the amount of access to the project site. A 1½”
thick countertop can overhang 12” without any support; however
larger overhangs can be made possible by using additional supports.
We also use steel reinforcements in situations where safety and
structural integrity may be at risk.
Our products are colored during the mixing process so that you
get a solid color all the way throughout your piece. In some cases
a second color is added on the top layer to accent the piece,
called a glaze. Our two standard
surface options are our Signature
Finish and Cast Finish.
Both surface options give your concrete a distinct look and feel.
The style that you are looking for will help you to determine
which surface option is best for your project.
