Trueform Concrete has found the middle ground between beauty
and practicality. Everywhere our product is placed is a different
environment with different requirements and therefore each and
every piece is customized for the end user. Our objective is to
create concrete products that have a natural look, require little
to no maintenance, and are tough enough for everyday use. Each
concrete piece is not only practical; it is a beautiful, one of
a kind work of art - a look that you will not find anywhere else!
One of the main advantages to using concrete is its customizability.
When you choose concrete, you are designing your piece from start
to finish. Every aspect of the product can be tailored to fit
your lifestyle. The things that are really important to you can
be addressed on an individual basis. For example, if cutting on
your countertop is something that you really want to do, ask us
about integral cutting boards. If you want a conference room table
with your company logo incorporated into it or you want to display
your grandfather's coin collection in your table top, ask us about
decorative inlays. Anything
is possible - all you need to do is ask! So let us know what is
important to you and Trueform Concrete will create a custom piece
that will meet all of your needs.
Trueform Concrete's proprietary mix design and curing process allows us to label our concrete as high strength concrete. Our standard thickness is 1.5” thick; however any custom thickness can be made including apron fronts to create the illusion of a much thicker piece. At 1.5” thick, our concrete weighs approximately 18 pounds per square foot, which is comparable to other stones. Therefore, in most standard situations, there should be no need for extra support or reinforcement. The size of the pieces we make, and therefore the number and placement of seams is dictated by the size, weight, cutout size (if applicable), application, and access to the project site. A 1.5” thick countertop can overhang approximately 12” without any support; however larger overhangs can be made possible by using additional supports such as brackets or legs made of wood, metal, or concrete.
