Troweled Concrete Finish |
Troweled concrete is our most popular surface finish. We consider this finish to be our signature style - each piece is truly a one-of-a-kind work of art. During this process our concrete is poured into the form and hand troweled using a steel trowel to achieve the desired look and feel for your design (e.g. smooth versus slightly textured). This finish typically produces more variation in color and texture - creating an organic look. A troweled surface can be utilized to achieve many styles ranging from modern to old-world.
Several treatments can be applied to your hand troweled surface to create the look and feel that you are trying to achieve. Glazing is a great option that can really tie in backsplash, floor tile and cabinets. |

Cast Concrete Finish |
Cast concrete has a consistent overall color and is perfectly flat. Concrete is made up of many layers. The finished look of this surface is determined by how deep the piece is sanded down. As we sand deeper into the surface, we will expose more aggregate materials (sand and stone) determining the look of your finished product. A lightly sanded surface may almost look painted, where as a heavily sanded surface will resemble a terrazzo finish. Advantages to the Cast finish are that you can easily incorporate inlays, apron drop fronts, integral sinks, integral drain-boards, etc. Because it is a handmade product, there will still be slight variations in color, yet this is our most consistent finish option. The Cast finish is most often used in modern and contemporary settings. |

Veined Concrete Finish |
Our Veined finish has an extremely modelled look. We create the "veins" based on your color and size selection. Our veined finish is perfectly flat and smooth to the touch similar to that of our Lightly Ground finish. Often times this finish is used as an accent piece for, but not limited to: kitchen islands, wet bars, butler's pantries, small table tops, etc. This unique look is distinct in appearance and is our premier concrete finish. |
