About Us

Who we are

At our very core, we are a company that makes things. We are a group of makers, tinkerers, and designers who awaken each morning with a passion for the process of creation. And we love what we do.

But there is another layer to that; we are a company that makes things that people ask us to make. It’s an important distinction because it means that people rely on us to deliver very specific concepts. There’s an understanding – a trust in place – that we take these concepts and convert them into artifacts. And by that definition, we are also a company of service.

Since our inception, we have worked alongside thousands of architects, designers to create one-of-a-kind sinks, tables, reception desks and other objects. Respect for the craft and attention to detail is our legacy. All of our pieces are handmade right here in the USA.

Why concrete?

Rich, mysterious, and endlessly versatile, concrete can be cast into nearly any shape - and in nearly any color. It routinely finds its way into architectural features for residential, commercial, hospitality, and recreational settings around the world.

Having played a major role in the advent of civilization, concrete continues to this day to be one of the most dynamic and useful substances we are aware of. With a palpable warmth and a natural, timeless appeal, artisanal concrete displays a human-like richness that artificial stones can only emulate.

Our material

As many of the objects we cast are quite large, using a high-strength mix is paramount. We utilize GFRC for our prefabricated pieces. GFRC is the acronym for Glass-Fiber-Reinforced concrete - an evolution of traditional concrete that improves upon a multitude of aesthetic and functional attributes.

Fifteen years in the making, our GFRC blend enables us to create pieces that are thinner and lighter (vs. traditional concrete) while exhibiting improved strength, durability, and flexibility. This means we can achieve better results with less material - which benefits all.

Surface Color Variation

Surface color variation, while subtle, is to be expected due to the random migration of pigments within uncured concrete. This variation displays as areas of lighter and darker tints and contributes to concrete’s natural patina.

Exposed Aggregate

Exposed Aggregate is also visible on all objects and is the result of the fine sand particles we use in our mix. While aggregate appears throughout the concrete, it is particularly concentrated on corners and edge due to the light grinding and sanding that take place during finishing.
