Ramp style sink
Posted by D.S. on 12th Mar 2018
I knew from the first time I saw a ramp style sink at a local boutique stone importer that I had to have one someday. The design was the inspiration in fact for the entire guest bathroom that I had begun designing before I even purchased a ramp style sink. The stone boutique could manufacture 24” one from marble or granite for a base price of $2500 then up from there depending on Stone choice. But at that price I wanted to be 100% satisfied and a natural stone just wasn’t the look I was trying to achieve in our industrial minimalist yet hardy/squared-off home remodel design we were trying to achieve. Then upon surfing the net I was woke to our answer: concrete. We almost considered conditioning our concrete slab instead of flooring before deciding that our recently manufactured concrete fireplace surrounds needed to be framed by something other than a concrete floor. In other words, concrete was to be our central theme for the aforementioned home remodel. This said, a concrete sink, especially one that could compliment the tones texture and color of our new fireplace was just the perfect choice for the nearby guest bathroom. Upon checking out color samples, even some custom colors not shown on their website. We discovered that Trueform’s finished product achieved the same unique concrete experience that the fireplace achieved. The samples were simply beautiful. And the sink was less than half the base price of the stone one yet a far better choice for our industrial modern design. And a more durable choice for a heavy-use sink than natural stone too. It was all too good to be true! When the sink arrived two weeks early out to the West Coast from New Jersey amidst some pretty heavy weather they were having back east I was amazed at the dedication these folks at Trueform held toward their customers. Always in perfect communication via email and phone before, during and now post production. These folks are an impressive finely tuned team of artisans and management working closely to pull off not only creating the most beautiful sink I have ever witnessed from design to hardiness to smart installation to texture and color tones but they are wonderful folks to work with too. Each masters of their individual expertises that came together to help us inspire and realize our dream bathroom.
